Colds and Flu are body's natural reaction in order
to eliminate and discharge "excess" in the body.
Especially when the blood and other body fluid is
overly acidic, due to excessive consumption of
acid forming foods/drink, the immune system is
weakened and you become more susceptible to
the infection.
Eat less (or even do fasting) in general to help
focus on cleansing and healing process.
Limit the intake of sugar(especially weakens
immune system!), tropical fruits, juice,raw salads,
coffee,refined food, baked flour foods (all cause
typical cold symptoms from sneezing, running
nose to coughing), as well as animal food and
dairy (hard to digest, and causes excess fever).

Instead, go easy on your body systems, and focus
on more alkaline forming food to cleanse and
strengthen the body.
Miso, natural soy sauce, umeboshi plum, and high
quality pickles are all great alkaline forming food,
as well most vegetables, especially sea vegetables.

For Home Remedies
Drink umesho bancha tea or umesho kuzu drink
for prevention or to relieve the symptoms.
Best to take first thing in the morning with empty
stomach.
Also good to have miso soup as your daily meal
for prevention by strengthening (alkalizing) the
blood.
