Hypoglycemia

Chronic low blood sugar or hypoglycemia results when the
pancreas loses the ability to secrete glucagon or anti-insulin and
raise blood sugar level.

Hypoglycemia is so common in modern society that it's said up to
80% have this condition to some degrees.

Mood swing and emotional ups and downs are common, as well as
sweet cravings, especially in the late afternoon, all caused by
fluctuation of blood sugar (glucose) level.

Chronic fatigue, cold hands and feet during the night, sleep
problems are also common due to this condition.
It also causes dizziness, fainting, and trembling.

Causes

Underlying cause is the harden, stiffen pancreas, caused by long
term regular consumption of animal foods (meat, poultry, eggs,
cheese), as well as baked foods, excess sodium, etc.

Tension and stress in life also contribute to this condition.

For this reason, people with hypoglycemia tends to crave
foods/drink with more "loosening, relaxing effect" such as sugar,
honey, fruits, juice, soft drinks, alcohol, caffeine, etc since these
foods temporarily "relaxes" the hardened pancreas, and shoots up
the blood sugar level, and overtime, this could lead to the other
pancreatic problem such as diabetes.

Prevention and solution

Gobbling down sugar and alcohol is not a real solution.
In fact, that could further damage the pancreas and possibly
develop the opposite (and more serious) problems such as
diabetes.

1 Cut down on foods that hardens the organ

meat, eggs, poultry, red-meat fish (tuna, salmon), salty foods,
baked foods, etc

2 eat naturally sweet tasting foods

such as whole grains (esp. brown rice, sweet brown rice, millet
etc), winter squash/pumpkin, onion, cabbage, carrot etc

3 use less salt in cooking

In some cases, it may be helpful to eat small portion of meal 4 to 5
times a day to regulate the blood sugar(glucose) level.

Also, it's important to learn stress management, such as yoga,
breathing exercise, tai chi, walking, laughter or other therapy.
