Jin’s Holiday Tips

1 Take 3 deep breath before each meal.
That helps digestion.

2 Chew well, 30 to 50 times.
Also helps digestion and prevent overeating.
---It takes about 20 to 30minutes for brain to feel full.

3 Drink wisely
No cold drink or carbonated drink with heavy meal.
Instead, warm water with lemon or tea, or maybe a glass of red
wine is a better choice.
Ginger tea, peppermint tea or chamomile tea after meal or before
bed to ease bloating and help digestion
Also to help digestion, * daikon radish, or *Chinese cabbage are
good.--- they are in season now : )
* grate daikon, 1 to 2 tbs, and put in hot water and drink.
* add chinese cabbage in miso soup.

4 Tummy massage
Find a point half way between belly button and the point where
ribs meet, which is an acupressure point for digestion, gently
massage with your finger, in a circular, clockwise motion for a few
minutes. That helps circulate qi for stomach.

5 Detox stretches
Sit or lie down comfortably, with deep slow breath, twist your body
gently from the waist,  stay there for a few breath.

6 Fast, the following morning
Drink ginger tea in the next morning after a big meal, and do not
eat until you feel a real hunger.

7 Moderate exercise
Walking,  yoga, swimming helps circulation and metabolism as
well as digestive function.
Go outside and take a walk!

Others
Stop snacking everyday.
Instead, have a real good dessert for special occasion with no
guilt!
